The culinary delights nearby are a real treat! The Madras Restaurant had a fabulous curry that left my taste buds dancing, and Texas Tony's Cafe served a breakfast that was second to none. The room was spacious and comfy, with a charming DIY breakfast setup letting me snack at my own pace. What more could a hungry traveler ask for?
Though the kitchen's slanted ceiling had me banging my head a bit, it just added to the quirky charm! The wet room flooring raised concerns, but everything else kept shining bright.

The Budget Double Room offered a comfortable stay overall. The room felt clean and fresh, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. I loved the vintage statues scattered around, adding character to the place. Despite the loud wind for the first two nights, the third night was peaceful, allowing for a good sleep. Simon, the host, made a great impression with his friendliness. the kitchen had a slanted ceiling, and I kept banging my head, which was a bit annoying. The shower was more stylish than practical, as it was too dark to use comfortably, and the area around the hotel didn’t feel entirely safe due to visible drug dealings. The breakfast setup also felt a bit underwhelming, being DIY without much variety. Despite these issues, I enjoyed the overall experience, probably because of the friendly atmosphere and unique touches like the décor.

The double room had a decent layout that made it comfortable for my week-long stay, and the DIY breakfast setup was a unique touch, letting me snack at my own pace.
The en suite wet room had some flooring issues that left me concerned about potential flooding. It was a bit cold in the room, and I found the shower to be more about looks than functionality—definitely too dark for shaving. Plus, navigating the stairs without shoes felt odd, and the neighborhood was a little rough around the edges, with a hint of open drug dealings down the street.

I really loved the cozy feel of the gold room with its comfy bed and kettle setup for easy tea in the evening. The communal kitchen area was a nice spot to start the day, with plenty of breakfast options like cereals and toast. The only downside was that the shower was a bit dim, but overall, I had a lovely stay. 😊
